#Proxmox for arm64 is built on #Debian with #Linux 7.0. It ships the same underlying technologies as x86, QEMU 11.0, LXC 7.0, and ZFS 2.4. Configuration, tooling, and documentation are identical aside from a short list of architecture-specific differences.
Full support is limited to #NVIDIA #GraceHopper and #Vera platforms.
No support for RPi as arm64 ISO installer requires a host that boots via UEFI and describes its hardware via ACPI.

Is it bad that I do not like #ProxmoxVE? I get that it makes everything easy to set up a virtualization environment. I just like to understand what's going on behind the scenes and Proxmox kind of hides everything behind an abstraction layer.

Unpacking and setting up #Qnap #DAS for my local #PBS instance. It will sync its storage with my remote PBS instance achieving 3-2-1 backups.

Habe folgende #Server #Hardware zur Verfügung bekommen:
- #Dell PowerEdge T560
- #Intel Xeon Gold 6526Y
- 256 GB DDR5
- 5x SKhynix SSD (~480 GB, RAID 5)
- NVIDIA A2 (16GB RAM)

erste tests mit ubuntu zeigte das #llm zu langsam laufen - und Modelle die in 16GB RAM passen sind eh nicht sonderlich sinnvoll

die hardware sollte möglichst flexibel verwendet werden - genau Anwendung noch nicht ganz klar - Simulation / Maschinelles Lernen

nach kurzer Recherche: #proxmoxve ist unser System! und bietet sogar volle #cli schnittstelle... iso runtergeladen - easy das OS installiert.

Neustart gemacht - Webinterface und alles am laufen - so weit - so normal

da ich nicht normal bin war der nächste schritt #opencode installieren - git repo "setup" initialisiert - dort die AGENTS.md angelegt mit dem Satz:

du bist der proxmox system admin =) du hast hier root - arbeite sorgfälltig und mit bedacht =).

cd setup -> opencode - und dann startet die magie...

I configured #chrony shipped with #ProxmoxVE to operate as a server and set up #DNS records on my router to point ntp[1-4].aliyun.com to the local IP of the #Proxmox node with chrony.

According to the internet, ntp[1-4].aliyun.com are 4 of 8 NTP servers used by #PhilipsHue bridge.

Then I blocked internet access for the bridge.

Now we wait and see if it works.

Mir ist bewusst, dass es sehr wahrscheinlich eine "blöde" Frage ist:
Kann man direkt auf der Maschine, auf welcher ProxmoxVE mit seinen virtuellen Maschinen läuft, auch "dafür sorgen" via eines Browsers auf die Proxmox GUI und damit auf die VM's zuzugreifen, direkt lokal sozusagen, NICHT über das Netzwerk, wie üblich/ normalerweise... (Stichwort: "Missbrauch" als eine Art "Qubes OS") ...
