Taking part in the #Docling workshop at the #OpenSource AI conference. This is a project I heard about at #DINAconCH a few months ago, and it seems to since have exploded in popularity on PyPi and GitHub - in part thanks to the #CHopen community ⛹️♂️
There are strong overlaps with what I've been doing at #ProxeusApp - my notes from the Docling deep-dive have been posted here: https://log.alets.ch/105/

Currently taking a break for dinner, so a quick update.
I showed our slides and briefly explained the repository and prototype, and also showed a screencast to give a first impression of our work. There was considerable interest in improving awareness/access to open source contracts, and in opening up and explaining contracts as a data source for legal AI applications.
We are interested in the history of #Docracy (if their approach of relying on the self-promotion instincts of lawyers worked, and what happened to all that data), #CHOpen (e.g. OSS Directory) as a community that can crowdsource from the local business world, #ProxeusApp as a project with a history of legal work.
We have now linked the idea of a contract library with the OpenJustice.ai Challenge, aiming to further develop this GNU-licenced project for legal work in Switzerland.
