I wish I had half his artistic/creative talent (& skill). I’m a good artist, & I think I passed him my talent, but somehow, genetics amplified what I gave him exponentially. Add to that how hard he works to continually learn & improve, & well … he just blows me away sometimes. #ProudMama

I’ve got a “cut my nose off to spite my face” style of parenting. I know I make life harder on myself by really, really limiting TV, tablets, etc., especially when weather is bad. I push music, listening to stories & free play time. Some days it’s challenging. But tonight P asked if we could play “imagination” with her little puppets before bedtime. So happy! And during dinner, she called out “Salt Peanuts” in the first few bars. #proudmama

Welp. My kid just got a full ride scholarship for an electrical engineering degree at NM Tech. The hubs is tutoring him in calculus right now so he has a proper foundation (his calculus teacher is pretty bad).

But damn. Way to go, kiddo. :)
