@jlou This is why private property of all kinds is theft, renting capital that is the product of your own labour as either an individual or a group replicates exactly the problematic part of capitalism: the assumption of ownership over a porition of someone elses labour because you lay claim to the capital. Have you read any Proudhon? Also money is bad because it makes capital accumulation inevitable, but thats maybe a different topic "The horror is the firm not the fact the firm has a boss"

I mentioned grabbing the Goatblood CD today for #BandcampFriday, but here's one final post with links to the rest of my purchases today - as usual, the genres are a wild mix. Some singles, some EPs, some new releases, some from a couple years back, and genres ranging from electronica to rap to grind to punk/post-punk. And mind you, I don't buy ANYTHING (or recommend anything here) lightly. I make sure I love it, and I will actually listen to it.
Here's they are alphabetically, if you wanna check em out.

Bakunin starb 1876 in Bern, Schweiz.

"Let humanity perish rather than the principle! This has been the motto of utopians and fanatics throughout the ages. Socialism, interpreted in this way, has become a religion […] which in the nineteenth century is the least revolutionary of all."

New translation: You'll find linked on this page a draft translation of Claude Pelletier's 1867 play, "The Revolutionary Socialist Heretics of the 15th Century," which explores the ideas of 1848 France in the context of Bohemia at the height of the Hussite Wars. Pelletier pursued anarchist ideas under the label of "atercracy" and combined elements from Proudhon and Pierre Leroux, among others. The framing of the play seems to be a kind of nod to George Sand. It's strange and in many ways quite good.

New Translation: Has Proudhon seemed a little lonely in the Second Republic? There were a few periods when his collaborators weren't afraid to call their anti-governmental program "anarchy." This series of essays — "Government," by Proudhon's frequent collaborator Georges Duchêne — gives an interesting window into one of them.
