Setback after setback, testing and more testing. I've about had my fill of #Android text editors.
Part of me will miss version history and commenting on #GoogleDocs, the latter less used than the former.
But #ProtonDocs is still pretty much still beta - with a bug that makes the app confused about where the cursor goes - but also it needs to be always offline before it's truly usable.
I've landed on #OpenNote - again - mostly because it can do automatic backups to my #Jottacloud drive.

I want a good mobile editor even, because #GoogleDocs fit that bill for so long that going over to another editor that doesn't understand how to utelize a phone screen becomes a pain.

I'm doing a test to replace Google Docs with Proton Docs.
There are fewer features, but it's less cumbersome, and you can collaborate using a simple link without creating an account 👌

Lots of improvements are coming to Proton Docs according to an official blog post. There is however no mention of addressing the two deal-breakers: no offline support and no support for backing up all documents.

Korzystacie z dysku od Protona? Jakiś czas temu pojawiła się informacja, iż oferują funkcjonalność podobną do Google Docs, jednak z zachowaniem prywatności. Jesteśmy ciekawi, czy rzeczywiście znalazło to u Was zastosowanie )

Although I probably won't be using it, I'm glad that @protonprivacy developed #ProtonDocs. I know a lot of people want the #LINUX client, but this feature probably makes Proton more attractive to companies (and in general) than that would've.
More companies using Proton means fewer people are forced to use #GoogleDocs. And more people using Proton means Proton is more useful.
Plus, it gets Proton more money, which could lead to better LINUX support.
