He probado Virtua Fighter 5; estaba gratis este pasado fin de semana.
No me interesa el juego. Este tipo, en concreto, y encima con rollito competitivo. Pero de pinta: tiene muy buena.
Viene con #EasyAntiCheat. Lanzo el juego y peta. Sin explicación explicita. Miro en #ProtonDB
Al parecer solo tienen activado el anti-trucos para la #SteamDeck. En el escritorio en GNU con Linux tenemos que añadir el, ya muy conocido, "SteamDeck=1" para que el juego piense que estamos en una Deck. Tiene huevos.

ProtonDB: Fast 90 Prozent der Games funktionieren auf Linux
Laut den Daten von ProtonDB steigt die Zahl der mit Linux kompatiblen Titel stetig weiter. Allerdings lässt das Wachstum wieder nach.

Actual state: Main screen is loading, short after that, when starting a "New Game", the loading screen freeze.
Proton Experimental is suggested by most of #protondb user.
Will try to play around with the settings the next days. -

Thanks for that! I have about 300 more to test. So far, only Baldur's gate 3 would not run, so I need to look that up on #protondb or something.
Oh, and I think #facerig and anything like that is out for me. Those just do not work.
That one and of course BG3 are a shame because I used to like to steam.
I appreciate your response! I am loving linux so far and getting into scripting and bash more.

Adding another point here:
Kinda crazy how this fact is pretty much needless to say nowadays but it runs perfectly on #Linux without any tinkering needed.
Controller support also works perfectly via #Steam with an official layout made for it and ready to use which should work with just about any game controllers - in my case, I'm using the DualSense via Bluetooth.
There isn't any report made for the game yet on #ProtonDB so I've submitted mine, just waiting for it to get published after it's been reviewed.
Hope #Valve will give it a #SteamDeck rating too at some point.

Zum Zocken auf #Linux sollte man wohl besser noch kein #Wayland nutzen: Gestern konnte ich ewig #JaggedAlliance3 nicht starten, alles an Fixes von #ProtonDB und aus diversen Foren versucht. Ein Wechsel auf #XOrg war dann die Lösung. Auf dem #SteamDeck ist X.Org übrigens voreingestellt.

Has anybody gotten #ProtonDB to accept adding a #Chromebook using the official #Steam client (#borealis)? It parses the data correctly but it says it's incompatible. What does that even mean‽ Does it think I'm using a #SteamDeck or are they discriminating against #ChromeOS? Going to do some tests on a #Linux machine over the weekend and see what happens but thought I'd shout out to the void in case somebody knows something.
Also, no I'm not reaching out on Discord or IRC. If you can't be bothered to put up an email address then I can't be bothered to create another account just for one thing.

I think I've been on #linux almost 3 months now. There was a rough on-boarding period but I figured out how to figure things out. Things are more or less working how I want them or at least enough that I don't see myself returning to Windows.
There's some annoyances, of course. Video sites that use DRM like Peacock and Vudu don't want to work though Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, and Paramount+ all do. #virtualreality has been a pain and a half. I got #ALVR to work but it's really rough with wildly varying framerates and I've yet to figure out how to make sound work. I wish #SteamVR would let me stream to the device like I could on Windows.
#Gaming has been pretty good. #Lutris has been a huge help as well as #ProtonDB. #Audio was a massive pain as my video capture card was also my mic DAC and the inputs aren't separated in Linux (no udev rules to help) so I had to source a new DAC.
It feels like now is a great time to try it out if you're on the fence.
