Jag är numera en Partner av @protonprivacy och kan med handen på hjärtat säga att ända sedan jag gick från Googles Gmail till Proton Mail har mitt liv varit tystare. Proton Mail har nu också lanserat en tjänst så man kan koppla gmail och Proton Mail, eller använda deras Easy Switch för att kunna föra över allt och avsluta Google.
Rekommenderar starkt att överväga byta från Google till en bättre inbox!

As a private equity fiend is helping to lead Bitwarden, I fear for the existence of the password manager.
I recently shifted my happy ass over to Proton Pass once more. Sans the mail because I already pay for Tuta Mail (which I love). Chose a yearly subscription to save a lot of money and it is very nice! All my stuff is working just fine (signed in and out of various things to make sure).
Bitwarden was cool while it lasted, when private equity "helps" open source projects...It makes me feel concerned.

The Proton Pass app has so many bugs, and is annoying to use in terms of GUI / UX. Do people at @protonprivacy not use it themselves, i wonder?
Tip for people using it:
1. Create a new @librewolf (or Firefox) browser profile
2. Login to the Proton Pass website / web app
3. Create a keyboard shortcut to toggle this browser profile specificallyThis way you can avoid installing the Proton Pass app, and just use a browser window. It's a bit better without the Electron crap...

Time to quit Proton isn’t it? Just got a mail announcing new ai features: ”Proton Pass now supports AI access tokens, letting you share credentials with AI agents in a secure and controlled way.” This is a quote from part of the email, I can’t include all information. Look it up yourself for more detail.
Even if there’s a reason for this feature, even if it’s viable, there can’t be a single security minded soul who’ll seriously consider sharing their password manager with an AI, can there?
I will have to read the whole email but this can’t bode well, can it? :/

It seems like the password managers I have looked at like #BitWarden and #1Password have had some issues recently. I'm hearing worrying things about #KeePassXC and #ProtonPass. And I don't think I can rely on a built-in password manager like the one in #Firefox. I'm open to self-hosting or simpler versions, but my tech skills are mediocre and it's not an area I want to goof. So what's is a user of this modern hellscape internet to do? -

@protonprivacy - I wanted to login to my home router to fix the internet connection but couldn't because my password is stored in Proton Pass which needs an internet connection to resume its session. @protonprivacy the problem with Protons services, is that every App they create works great: for 95%.
5% are "annoying bugs", that never get solved. Contacting support is useless. Obviously support employers cannot solve bugs.The thing is, driving a car where 5% does not work - like without properly functioning tires or whatever - becomes problematic quite quickly.

Read their TOS (Terms of Service). It starts by claiming it is governed under the laws of Switzerland — and this is true — but it also continues by citing U.S. laws, regulations, and jurisdiction.
They don’t list any other countries they do business with in their TOS — not in Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, North America, or Australia. Only Switzerland and the USA.
