Song-Kun Shyue and colleagues at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, unravel the upstream protein machinery required for ER-associated degradation (ERAD) of the crucial enzyme cyclooxygenase-2.

New paper! Great collaboration between our group and the @mz at @biozentrum @unibasel - supported by a Sinergia grant of the @snsf_ch.
Aberrant #proteostasis (balance between protein synthesis and degradation, centrally regulated by #mTOR) and mitochondrial dysfunction are two of the most prominent and reproducible processes associated with #aging in skeletal #muscle (and other tissues).
