In his biography, Linus Torvalds explains that an early key step in the development of what would later become the #Linux kernel was managing to get two processes to write to the terminal. Alas, the visible proof of that achievement was so mundane (basically a long list of “AAAAA” and “BBBBB” on the terminal window) that it was hard for almost everybody else to comprehend what exactly he had just done.

I am experiencing a similar feeling today. After hours of development, I’ve managed to… rename a class in an #OWL #ontology, which sounds decidedly not impressive given that anyone can do that in mere seconds using an ontology editor such as #Protégé (or even a standard text editor such as #vim). But it’s the first step towards a working implementation of KGCL in #Java.
