I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but it seems like the people who don't want to talk about defunding police departments and rebuilding an actual 'protect and serve' force from the ground up are the same people who are invested in oppression, violence, and racism.

Can’t remember where I originally saw this, but I think of it every time I hear the #ThinBlueLine crap mentioned.
“Police should expect to be treated as an unwelcome occupying army as long as they fly a different flag than the rest of us.”
They're supposedly there to #ProtectAndServe, and if they can't handle that without having an us vs them attitude with the public, they should find another job.

It appears that these police who killed #TyreNicols may have been put into an aggressive police unit when they were too new to policing and not sufficiently trained.
Another question, and there are many, why did no one see this coming? What type of supervision oversaw their behaviors? Were there no psychological reviews involved?

This is heartbreaking for many reasons.
