  1. Earlier today, a little girl (like, 4-5y/o) and (presumably) her mother walked past my #bench. In the distance I saw that the girl walking weirdly; as if limping but a little too fast?

    When she got a little closer, I could tell that one of her legs is artificial and the knee stiff. I then also noticed that one of her arms is visibly crippled/didn't really have a hand.

    ..and yet she was walking undeterred, gaily singing and got her mother smiling at it.

    That touched me a little :)

  7. Oleh Slyvar is 26 years old, and for 12 of them he danced in the Verkhovynka #dancing group.

    He joined the #Ukraine National Guard in the summer of 2022 and fought in the #Donetsk region. Oleh sustained numerous shrapnel wounds to his leg during a mortar assault.

    Oleh received a modern #prosthesis with an electronic knee, which allowed him to #dance again.
