Weather in NYC was amazing on Saturday, and we see that several Empire Speed members took advantage thereof to get ready for the NY 100k and NYC Skate Marathon in four weeks. Our Strava feed shows that Allegra, Adiel, and Asael (los tres A's) rolled 100+k around #Brooklyn #ProspectPark, whilst some others rolled, cough, less.
Expecting they'll all now taper off in preparation, but oy, there's the Northshore marathon coming up one week before the 100k! Hmmm.

Weather is getting weird again and the next week or so could be brrrrr cold. Nevertheless, there were many signs this past week of #NYC #InlineSkating peeps welcoming the onset of spring. There was the earlier than expected NJ Monday Night Skate, and yesterday, it seems various Empire Speed members got together to do loops in #Brookyn #ProspectPark. Also, there were the Strava reports of peeps posting up miles rolling to Red Hook or circling about inner Queens. Woot!

Beautiful weekend to be #InlineSkating and seeing the sights in #NYC, although a bit windy Sunday afternoon. Empire's long-distance #GroupSkate Saturday apparently went well, and we enjoyed visiting a couple favorite spots in Brooklyn on Sunday.
Now everyone, cross your fingers and pray for improvement in the weather forecast for next Saturday morning. It's NYC 100k & Inline Marathon time in #Brooklyn #ProspectPark.
