A new #residential #development in #Devizes in #Wiltshire is depressingly bare and void of life. Most of the space not taken up by houses has not been made into gardens but into roads and car parking. The scene is reminiscent of an uneasy #futuristic #1960s movie. Eg. the UK don't have state govts.

Could #localCouncils manage #townPlanning as a #federation.

StateGovt functions can likely be replaced by Committees of a greater number of national MPs.

State Govt have become corrupted, engaging in #rentSeeking and known to take #politicalDonations from #realEstate and #propertyDeveloper groups through #SuperPac's like the #PropertyCouncil.

Sadly, these terrible collapses like the #MiamiTower are just a tip of the iceberg.

We wrote something recently on another device and will get it out in the days ahead.

In #Australia we've been struggling with our own #propertyDeveloper and #privateEquity craze since #Sydney2000, and yes, a lot of dodgy #construction.

The #realEstate and #propertyCouncil have been aggressively #lobbying #selfRegulation for as long as we can remember too.

To be honest this is conditioning people to accept living like people in China. Its not a good meme.

#Gentrification is also capitalistic and fascistic as it is oft its highly #corporatist in nature. We can bet a dodgy multi-national #propertyDeveloper with ready access to desperate migrant labour at their disposal (and yes some would have died), made those #humanFilingCabinets.

The word "#community" has to be the most widely abused word by the #corporateState, and #PublicRelations firms.

From rapatious #mining multinationals to #Facebook: companies are vying to #virtueSignal while feeding on the community.
