I don't think I've seen a mug with an ear in a C-drama before! It's vaguely cottagecore, isn't it? To speculate I think it's part of the 'this place is far from Tang/China' package - the demons of the week are dressed in clothes inspired by Hui, Uygur, and other peoples in western China. And while the overall design leans towards cartoon stylisation things rarely shows up at random...

They are not far from actual historical artefacts, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're based items found in China.

I'm fascinated. Production has skimped left and right, but for some reason they often fork up for fabric with woven patterns instead of printed. In this case I'm pretty sure it's for the closeup - they tend to doll up those. I really like the extra structure in the red lozenges. It's such a small detail, but it takes the piece from good to far above average.

It's been a long time since I said anything about a candleholder (several days, at least). That combined lantern and candelabra in the background though, *chef's kiss!* beauty!
Could probably be built out of concrete reinforced papier maché, so if I ever need a rest from my millions of other projects I know what to make.

Each candle holder in the photoshoot will be unique. So far I've been cautiously experimenting with sidewall shape. I've got 22 more tea lights so there are plenty more opportunities to learn and try new ideas yet.

Oth the pattern is not in relief. My best guess is that it's a 'Wilton rug' - ie a machine bound piece in synthetics. Needless to say I want one. Let me lose at the prop magasines at Heng Dian World Studios and I'll definitely try to stuff it in my handbag.

A frame tents - not just for Vikings! (Not a hard design to come up with - the hard part is hauling around an ungodly amount of lumber while travelling. Ask me how I know...) I love the decorations, though - if I still was active in the SCA I'd totally st... _use it as an inspiration_.
