A guy, early 30s, Dieulise guessed, was with the old man in the ER. The old man was fine--acid reflux, not a heart attack--but Dieulise saw the young guy walked with a #pronounced limp.
Now why was that? Eh, you can't ask that, especially with no solution to offer. Outside, a squeal of truck brakes. A crash? Or a wound from a fight? Or maybe he just come into the world with the leg not right.
"Thanks for helping my dad," the guy said. A warm smile. Dieulise smiled back.
