Fingers, sharpened and rigid, point furiously at their mirrored counterpart when the economy becomes entenable due to it's #supine posture.
Surely those who point should be the one's whose posture becomes #supine?
Let them go belly-up when they screw it up, and let the country keep their hard-thieved assets to fund the shortfalls their greedy mis-management has caused.
Don't THEY work for US?

"He's bleeding!" came a panicked wail.
"Calm down." Admittedly, that metallic tang was distracting. My stomach protested. I pawed through the drawer. "Roll him #supine. Apply pressure to the wound."
"It was a-a-an accident!"
What a whiner. "So? Boss won't care how his dinner got damaged."
"But..."
I huffed then nosed at the sewing kit. Next challenge, threading a needle with my teeth.

After weeks trekking across our dustbowl valley, we smelled it. A siren sigh of currents lured our dehydrated muscles the final yards to the river, #chatoyant beneath a smoke-hazed sun.
A guard's whistle halted us at the bank. "Can't drink that. Polluted."
"But we heard this was the last town with water." Words scrape my parched throat. "If the river's bad, where do you get it?"
A grin cracks his face like dried mud. "Siphoned from the aquifer down in the valley."

Asteroids were mined for the minerals needed to feed FTL engines. This one had been closed, a dud. But one of the miners had smuggled a stone out, an inch long chatoyant gem the likes of which Finn had only seen once before, in the heart of an astronavigation AI.

"It's the end of the world, and you want to visit a museum?"
Grinning, she slipped through the rubbled entrance. "Free admission."
Aftershocks had collapsed the galleries. Only the atrium statue, a seated Thinker, remained to ponder the ruins.
She approached it, glass crunching underfoot. "It's the ultimate installation, a #paean to human self-destruction."
"Or just the strength of bronze. Is the gift shop still intact? I want a souvenir from art-mageddon."

The year a giant helmet pushed up from the ground should have set off alarm bells but it turned into a tourist attraction. It was four stories high and almost that wide. Very few questioned it. A few tried to dug under it with no success. Something supernatural was prevented it. No one knew the #accretion happening below. World ending doom, coming soon Earthlings.

The #accretion of neglect, abuse, rapacious greed, sloth and apathy had forced Nature's hand.
Without an antibody, the virus would kill the Earth.
She created the Colossus that wreaked havoc on humanity.
Its task ended the Colossus returned to its mother.
The world was renewed. -
"I'd call this hell, if it weren't so cold."
"Norse hell was a frozen, #ascetic place for people who died unheroic deaths."
"Unheroic? We stopped global warming!"
"With nuclear winter. But I suppose we saved the icebergs."
"You mean my toes?"
"Keep walking. It'll help circulation."
"And get us to the equator faster. Will we really find other survivors?"
"If radiation didn't turn them into mutants. Or frost giants."
"That's just more mythology...right?"
