  3. Measuring lines of code or AI tokens is a trap. I’ve always argued that dev speed is worthless if you're building the wrong things. True productivity is about outcomes, not output volume. Stop measuring activity and start measuring value.

  5. @thoughtworks It starts even earlier:
Ideas have zero business value, everybody's grandma has them. It comes down to solid #ProductMgmt - does it solve a user need / problem? Are there sustainable business models for the product? What are the risk scenarios? What's my competitive landscape etc.
THEN very much later we talk about UX and technologies.

  22. This is a stark difference from having a bunch of individual users within a logo, not united by the network effects of being on the team, likely not even knowing about each other. Your ability to retain users in that case would heavily depend on engaging them directly every single time, which will result in much higher churn and lower expansion.

I just bought something and you could interview me for practice: a travel pack, I hesitated somewhat before buying, over $100, not a gift.

  34. I like this. Not milestones, but stepping stones.

"My favorite twist lately is thinking of milestones as stepping stones. I asked a team, "What are your stepping stones to get from here to there," and it clicked. It captures the idea that you are building a foundation and have options."

  36. Chats over the long weekend with good friends reminded me to try not to slip back into classic #impostersyndrome thinking. Don't sell yourself short, learnings are equally if not more valuable than other outcomes, and women tend to suffer more of this than men do - not always of course, but certainly a big chunk.
Everyone deserves a personal hype team - I needed mine this weekend!

  38. Hey there #productmanager /s in small businesses and start-ups, question for you: is doing everything-except-coding just a fact of life in this role or am I doing it wrong?

    Today so far my tasks have covered #marketing, #HR, #strategy, #design, #peoplemanagement, #productsupport and #productdelivery - and it's not noon yet.
