  1. Richard Denniss

'when current Chair Danielle Wood worked at the Grattan Institute, she was concerned about fossil fuel subsidies, but since taking on a government-funded role, she has not been able to spot a single fossil fuel subsidy worth her Commission’s attention...as long as groups like the Productivity Commission remain resolute that it is only those with the least who receive too much from the government, we will never be able to restore productivity growth or the population’s faith in democracy'

  4. Productivity is not something we should aim for in the care sector. The focus needs to be on quality and effective person-centred care. All productivity gets you is crap care and crap working conditions.

We should be very concerned by a government that only sees things through the lens of productivity. They are dismantling the NDIS by stealth.

  7. Productivity Commission thinks we would as a country be more productive by letting an arbitrary bug riddled tool take over jobs because…checks notes…it will increase productivity.

I’m laughing because for a period….I think short…this ridiculous concept will replace real thought and eyes until it breaks everything and there will be mass hiring to fix it. Just imagine if this year was Y2K….we would be screwed. #productivitycommission

  8. I have an opinion piece in the Green Agenda - The Right to Repair - the Canberra Revolution greenagenda.org.au/2024/11/the From repair cafés to policy reform, Canberra has been at the forefront of the right to repair movement in so called Australia. Local activists and the ACT Greens have pushed for change, while federal policy trails behind global developments. #righttorepair #auspol #auslaw #SDGs #circulareconomy #productivitycommission
