I'm procrastinating regarding the finishing touches on the restoration of my Blog with PureBlog as it's underlying CMS and finally release it into the wild.
That's the weirdest part about all of that, because I know the why and what but still won't go on, yet.
Sometimes it can be really frustrating to be me, blocked in a way that's partly consciously and unintentionally at almost the same moment in time, so to speak.
Letting go of the old well known and forward, sometimes hinders me while going on into a more optimized future. 🙄

Sometimes I feel like I have so much going on with projects and hobbies, that I don't know what I want to work on first and end up #procrastinating way too much and am way less productive than I should be.

Gosh, exactly what it feels like. Especially the parts where the character looks for solutions or guilt trips themselves!

I have a coworker I like, but she texts me at 8 pm about work stuff, and…can’t this be an email? I am not gonna reply tonight. I turned on “do not disturb.” Funnily enough, the text came in while a friend living in Thailand who I hadn’t heard from in a while, was already texting me for over an hour this evening. So... instead of studying I have once again fiddled with my website.... I have updated my comment submission system!!
- Get request from the form is now targeting an hidden iframe, so you are no longer redirected to a random xml results page from #ntfy
- Now has 2 submit buttons: JS and no-JS (hidden using <noscript> tag).
- JS submit button is a reset type, using `.forms.submit` js
- non-JS is a normal submit type (no clearing inputs)

I have just completed a task that I have been #procrastinating for WEEKS. I was already past my deadline and it started giving me bad sleep.
It took me exactly 17 minutes.
Do I learn anything from this experience? Of course not. I will behave exactly the same next time I have a dreaded task. 😥

August 1. Why are you writing your current work?
A better question would be why I am NOT writing my current work.
Why I want to write is that I think that these characters have more story in them, and I think I can give them a decent send-off. I have a few things to say about the world as well — we'll see how many of them actually make it into the text.

‘Tis a neat way to ‘procrastinate. I thoroughly recommend it.Back in 2018, I returned to uni for a Master of Translation. Brilliant profs and mentors at ANU. Enjoyed it so very much that I switched to an Advanced Master (Thesis required) and worked on it until I looked at my HELP account, I was way over budget (Over $50K) and couldn’t afford it so I didn’t do my Thesis (which would have taken me another 18 mth (conservative estimate) as it involved programming in Python (new to me), working with software I wasn’t familiar with (text analysis) and a couple of extra courses in Digital Humanities. So I didn’t finish it. On the plus side, I found out I could write; do a decent job of translation; met great people along the way; and enjoyed campus life again. All through those two years, and a bit, everything else was on the back burner…yay…

Today I head out for a #drive that is long enough that I will be in #agony physically for days, #mentally I am not sure I am ready to face this #grief. It is time though I may be #procrastinating. I really need to update my Nextcloud AIO setup. I've been putting it off for a couple of weeks as last time it completely broke, updating from from the AIO interface. I suspect it's something to do with me running it with docker compose.
luckily I made a backup beforehand which saved me completely installing from fresh.
maybe one more day wont hurt!!

Prepping for tomorrows #joomla security release. No time to test as we don't know what changed in this release, so rolling up sleeves and be prepared when installing. What I heard this could be a big one (not in terms of changes, but in terms of exploits).
In the meantime working on some new ideas, and still sitting on the idea of doing short video's #procrastinating #nottokeenonthespotlightWhat are you up to today, love to hear it!

Block 12 🎄 done. I was going to try to have this quilt done by Xmas, but I've been distracted all year by shearing, gardening, haying, and now mucking. Also, we've made it into the holidays, so it makes it even harder to find time. I do always work best under pressure though! 😂😅

Time to quit #procrastinating -
As I am getting older, I have come to the conclusion that the trick is not to stop #procrastinating - which would require more willpower than I have to spare - but to procrastinate in a way that will benefit _one_ of my longer-term goals, even if it's not the one I ought to work towards right now.

This is part of a basin that holds back some water. A lever can be opened so that the water causes a nice waterfall.Unfortunately we didn't know before so we only saw the waterfall from above 🙇♂️. Well - next time.
