We are going to have to start talking about the “prison-industrial complex. Because the same way that war and military spending fuel profits for a lucrativly rich segment of the economy, mass incarceration does as well.
It’s a grift. A huge amount of money is now going to building and operating prisons, all run by privately owned companies, who I guarantee are all heavy Trump donors.

the australian govt comparing this law to an #alcoholBan ought horrify every living person on earth. we should be reminded also of what the "war on drugs" actually achieved, in so far as it simply put a bunch of recreational users into the #prisonIndustrialComplex. I put forward that THIS is the real goal of this new global push by govts to ban #information for our youth.
