Seminar in Kosovo 2026
A one-day seminar in Kosovo’s capital of Pristina saw reporters and writers from the country and the region discuss latest challenges and trends in covering science.
The focus was on science media issues in Kosovo and Albania, with participation of colleagues from neighbouring North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Greece, as well as Croatia and Slovenia, who shared their insights and experiences.
The event was organized by the Balkan Network of Science Journalism, with support from European Federation of Science Journalists, and funding from EurekAlert! It was hosted by Kosovo 2.0, an independent media platform.
The seminar heard about challenges such as finding independent science sources, opportunities for finding science in every story and in using AI for work, as well as various specific issues and projects in the region.
It also included an AGM of the BNSJ, and a networking dinner for the participants. The discussions about the project will continue at a dedicated session at the European Conference of Science Journalism in Hanover, Germany in October.
