I don't know how Les Claypool feels, but I'm glad Metallica didn't hire him. Not because it would have been bad, but because Primus and Metallica both existing is a "Holy shit, two cakes!" thing.

There were plenty of bass players before Les Claypool, and Les' stuff in and out of Primus has been incredible with some wild funk stuff, both more standard and not. But there was nothing that sounded like this before Frizzle Fry, and there won't ever be anything like this again. This shit is 100% original Claypool insanity, and we're lucky to have lived through this. The 1990s were fucking MAGICAL
