En 1940, #OttoHampel et #EliseHampel, résidant à Berlin, distribuaient furtivement des cartes postales dans les boîtes aux lettres. « Que sommes-nous devenus ? Un troupeau de moutons ! », écrivaient-ils au dos. Arrivé au pouvoir depuis sept ans, #Hitler avait déjà dépecé les institutions démocratiques, supprimé les libertés civiles, réprimé toute opposition. Pendant deux ans, jusqu’à leur arrestation en 1942, le couple berlinois, condamné à mort et exécuté, a écrit 285 cartes, une tâche dérisoire, pour contester le régime impitoyable auquel ils faisaient face. Leur histoire inspirera à l’écrivain allemand #HansFallada #SeuldansBerlin, un récit paru en 1947 à partir des archives de la #Gestapo, et considéré par #PrimoLevi comme l’« un des plus beaux livres sur la résistance allemande antinazie »."Cette résistance, si ténue soit-elle, reste d’actualité dans les autocraties, quelle que soit leur nature, où les systèmes modernes de surveillance ont encore appesanti le contrôle étroit exercé sur toute voix dissidente. Comment s’oppose-t-on dans un pays soumis à l’arbitraire d’un pouvoir qui ne souffre aucune contestation ?
