I started a little series of drawings of Primarchs in the traditional clothing of their adopted homeworlds.

First two were Vulkan and Lorgar. I was asked to do Curze and Lion, too. But also kind of want to do Fulgrim with some Ruhrgebiets-chic.

I started working on Vulkan and his base.
The Primarch of the Eighteenth isn't glued to the base, yet. I will paint him (and his drakescale cloak, not pictured) separately.

But that's how the landscape will look.

I am unsure about how I will balance green and gold in his armour. Maybe inspiration will strike today, so I can start the metal parts tomorrow. 😊

I finished 30k Fulgrim today. The scariest part was his face and the most tedious was the gold lace. The most fun part was the base.

I think it's cool how there are characters in #Warhammer40k like the #Ecclesiarch Sebastian Thor or the #Primarch Vulkan, who stare into the grimdark and say, "Fuck you, I'm going to be nice." #WH40k

I made a poll which Primarch I should draw for Slaaneshmas/Sanguinalia/Christmas and since Fulgrim, Dorn, Guilliman, Curze and (believe it or not) Perturabo already had their spotlight last Christmas, Sanguinius won very clearly.

So here are both versions of him (as Euten states in "Unremembered Empire" his hair- and eyecolour change with his mood) - blonde and dark haired.
