Long before the World Cup draw, Seattle designated June 26 as its "Pride Match." By sheer coincidence, Egypt and Iran—two nations where homosexuality is criminalized—were drawn to play. Despite their official objections, Seattle organizers never considered canceling it.
How do you feel about local host cities using major global sporting events to showcase their community values?

I look forward to FIFA backtracking and trying to challenge or change this decision on the grounds that we should keep politics out of sport, just after awarding the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize to a president blowing up boats in the Caribbean!
