Lot staniał po zakupie? Nowa usługa Fru zwróci różnicę, ale jest pewien haczyk

Kupowanie biletów lotniczych często przypomina grę na giełdzie. Okazuje się jednak, że w ponad połowie przypadków bilet po finalizacji transakcji… tanieje.

Platforma rezerwacyjna Fru.pl postanowiła to wykorzystać i chce oddawać tę różnicę klientom. Nowa usługa Price Drop (reklamowana przez firmę jako pierwsza taka w Europie) ma automatycznie monitorować stawki i rekompensować spadki. Zanim jednak odetchniemy z ulgą, warto uważnie prześwietlić jej zasady.

Z danych zebranych przez platformę płyną bardzo ciekawe wnioski. W przypadku regularnych połączeń lotniczych ceny biletów spadają po dokonaniu rezerwacji w aż 52% przypadków. Średnia różnica w cenie wynosi 190 złotych. Do tej pory zjawisko to oznaczało dla pasażerów po prostu nieświadome przepłacenie za lot.

Jak to działa w praktyce?

Nowa funkcja zdejmuje z podróżnych obowiązek nerwowego sprawdzania taryf. System codziennie, w pełni automatycznie monitoruje cenę biletu od momentu dokonania przez nas płatności aż do dnia wylotu.

Jeśli cena spadnie o minimum 22 złote, klient otrzymuje specjalne powiadomienie e-mail.

Po zakończeniu podróży algorytm sprawdza największą różnicę cen odnotowaną przed wylotem i na tej podstawie wylicza kwotę zwrotu.

Diabeł tkwi w regulaminie

Z punktu widzenia konsumenta obietnica brzmi świetnie, ale warto pamiętać o kilku kluczowych detalach, które sprawiają, że usługa ta jest sprawnie skrojonym produktem, a nie działalnością charytatywną.

Po pierwsze: opcja monitorowania cen nie jest dostępna z automatu dla każdego kupującego. Wymaga korzystania z pakietu Upgrade w aplikacji mobilnej i musi zostać aktywowana jeszcze przed finalizacją zakupu.

Po drugie: wyliczona różnica nie wraca w formie przelewu na kartę płatniczą czy konto bankowe podróżnego. Rekompensata przyznawana jest pod postacią vouchera do wykorzystania przy kolejnej rezerwacji. Rozliczenie w formie bonu zamiast gotówki znacząco ogranicza koszt całego programu dla Fru, jednocześnie zwiększając szansę, że klient w przyszłości ponownie wyda pieniądze na ich platformie.

Zanim zdecydujemy się na dopłatę do pakietu Upgrade specjalnie dla tej funkcji, warto postawić kilka pytań, na które entuzjastyczna prasówka nie odpowiada wprost. Jak długo ważny jest taki voucher? Czy zwrot obejmuje również tanie linie lotnicze, czy tylko tradycyjnych przewoźników? Oraz najważniejsze: czy algorytm monitoruje wyłącznie bazową cenę biletu, czy reaguje również na spadki cen dodatkowych taryf (np. tych z bagażem rejestrowanym)?

Mimo tych znaków zapytania trzeba przyznać, że to bardzo ciekawy eksperyment rynkowy, który celnie uderza w jeden z największych stresów towarzyszących samodzielnemu planowaniu wakacji.
