"Back on the Chain Gang" is a song written by #ChrissieHynde and originally recorded by her band the #Pretenders, and released as a single by #SireRecords in September 1982. The song also was released on #TheKingOfComedy soundtrack album in March 1983 and later was included on the Pretenders' next album, #LearningToCrawl, in January 1984. "Back on the Chain Gang" entered the #Billboard charts in early October 1982, then reached No. 5 on the #Hot100.

Hat die Frau ein Organ! Ich habe das Konzert einer Hammer-Live-Band erlebt, die vor 40 (!) Jahren nicht besser gewesen sein kann. Gut, dass ihr mich überzeugt habt. #ChrissieHynde hat hervorragende Musiker für ihre #Pretenders gefunden, die insgesamt härter klingen als früher. Das kleine #Columbiatheater hatte übrigens eine deutlich bessere Tonqualität als diese Verti MusicHall neulich. Um das Erinnerungsfoto für den #Konzertkalender musste ich jemanden bitten, der mehr Überblick hatte als ich.
