CW: The Pretender S3E03 "Once in a Blue Moon"
On most Mondays, I live toot an episode of a TV show. Of this week's episode, TMDB says:
To save a teen-age victim, Jarod learns the skills of criminal behaviorists and comes face-to-face with the Blue Moon Killer.
The Pretender is a contemporary science fiction adventure show where the core premise is that a small subset of human beings have a near supernatural ability to inhabit the lived experiences of others in order to perform actions. A shadowy private organization called The Center kidnapped Jarod (last name unknown) as a child and used him to run various simulations. Some of those simulations were used to cause deaths in real life.
Roughly in his 30s, Jarod escaped The Center and is using his abilities and training to insinuate himself into situations where he can right wrongs and protect the innocent. While he's on this crusade, a team of people from The Center attempt to re-kidnap him.
The central conceit of the show is that a highly recognizable, homeschool coded man can walk through life barely being recognized by anyone except those who he interacts with directly. :blobfoxaww:
