Watched Sullivan’s Travels. It’s No.61 on the AFI’s 100 Years…100 Movies—10th Anniversary list.
I thought it was pretty good. I didn’t know O Brother Where Art Thou was a reference to anything, but the title is from this movie.

Porter Hall looks at stars Betty Hutton and Eddie Bracken in the Preston Sturges comedy “Miracle of Morgan’s Creek” (1944).
For me, this has got to be one of the funniest movies ever made.

Once again watched "Sullivan's Travels," which I've seen more than any other Preston Sturges movie. It really is a marvel (and I don't say that with some embarassment 😉 ). In addition to the charming performances of Veronica Lake and Joel McCrea, nearly all his great company of character actors has something interesting to do. We see Franklin Pangborn and Porter Hall side by side, and William Demarest makes every #film better.
