I used the 22-minute After School Special "THE HALLOWEEN THAT ALMOST WASN'T" starring Judd Hirsch and Mariette Hartley as a classroom Halloween treat every year during my career, following its release in 1979. Kids loved it. #halloween #publicschool #publicschools #publicschoolteacher #teacher #teachers #schoolteaching #halloweenparty #halloweentreat #juddhirsch #mariettehartley #television #classictelevision #tv #classictv #vintagetv #vintagetelevision #1970s #prestigetelevision #teaching

We've recently begun rewatching "YONDERLAND," a quirky fantasy show featuring many of our favorite British actors. We love our surreal and hallucinatory Britcoms. #yonderland #britcom #britcoms #sitcom #sitcoms #britishtv #britishtelevision #debbie #MarthaHoweDouglas #MathewBaynton #SimonFarnaby #JimHowick #LaurenceRickard #BenWillbond #cultclassic #classictv #prestigetv #prestigetelevision #fairytale #fairytales

CW: The Wire, TV show
I'm #ACAB til I die, but I do occasionally like cop shows! I loved #Dexter, and it's one of my comfort shows. (It's not quite a cop show but it plays on a lot of similar tropes.) I love #BreakingBad, and it's one of my favorite shows of all time. Does #TheWire get any better? I'm 3 episodes in, and it just feels like a cop show. If I'm going to watch a cop show, I need to really be given a reason to care about the cop characters, and so far, I do not care about McNulty. Like, why does everyone love this show so much? Does it get better? I'm trying to give it a chance, but given how everyone talks about it, I was expecting something almost...transcendent and so far, it is not that.
