I want to note that when, in a seven person board, five vote one way, one the other way, and the last one abstains, that's not a "split vote". That is a very clear majority. The slanted framing here is very clear, regardless of the facts: most of the people in East Hamilton would rather the board let the #Librarians do their job unimpeded--that's the "guardrail" Beckwith bemoans is missing.
