Last week, I attended a class launching the #pressbooks zine the students created. They were very proud of the work. After the class I asked the faculty if they ever printed copies and she said, “No, I don’t know how or have the time.” Something like that. I had a librarian who helped her class with the book export a pdf 15 minutes and $8.47 later, I had ordered a copy from lulu. It is beautiful.

And she has no idea it is headed her way on Monday 😊

@pandoc I also use #Pandoc to clean up .docx files, which often contain a lot of unwanted styles, before using them for import into #Lodel (the #OpenEdition software) and #Pressbooks (for creating #ebooks).

It's the most powerful cleaning tool I know (see: https://file.lib.uliege.be/popups/train5_popups.pdf).
