@pandoc I also use #Pandoc to clean up .docx files, which often contain a lot of unwanted styles, before using them for import into #Lodel (the #OpenEdition software) and #Pressbooks (for creating #ebooks).

It's the most powerful cleaning tool I know (see: https://file.lib.uliege.be/popups/train5_popups.pdf).

@impactology do you of any efforts to bring a #oer platform like #pressbooks into the #fediverse? I recently built a pressbooks site for my college for our #ZeroTextBook #ztc effort and now I want to see a federated #OpenSource book system. I don’t know much about #bookwyrm but from what I see it is more for reviews than for text distribution? If this already exists I would appreciate being educated
