I have seen President Kennedy's moon speech (September 12, 1962 in Rice Stadium) many times, however one thing has always puzzled me. To quote:

"We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things not because they are easy, but because they are hard."

Q) What are "the other things" ?
