Det är jag också nördigt intresserad av i vardagen, där så många är så fast i söka lösning i konsekvensen av att *något* hänt, istället för vad som orsakade.

Så fik vi set A quiet place: Day one, og for en tredje film i serien — til og med den uheldssvangre prequel — er den ikke dum, men den genopfinder heller ikke hjulet. Det er helt rart at slippe den samme gamle families historie om igen, og vi ved jo fra f eks Us, at Lupita Nyong’o kan spille sine kolleger agterud med kun et hævet øjenbryn.
Hendes rolle som terminalpatient, som arbejder sig frem til en erkendelse af sin egen udløbsdato, mens verden styrter omkring hende, er en brutal mavefølelse som mange nok kan nikke genkendende til i disse år.

There are certainly deleted scenes I would love to see finished but I don’t think this is a good idea. Without the involvement of George Lucas a special edition of the Prequel Trilogy would seem like a callous cash grab by Disney in my opinion. As another option I think it could be interesting to see deleted scenes incorporated as flashbacks in new films or shows, like the ROTS Mon Mothma scenes for example.

Ppl blame #KathleenKennedy for #Lucasfilm not performing up to blockbuster standards, but remember, before all this, #GeorgeLucas made the #StarWars #Prequels and ppl said he should sell Lucasfilm so a larger entity like #Disney could tap all the #Movie potential he let lay from 1983 to 1999.

@davidallengreen Gosh, I'd have to differ on Endeavour. A far superior series compared to the original Morse, in my view. Fred Thursday and Chief Superintendent Bright were wonderful characters in their own right. And particularly better at representing an ordinary side of Oxford (the east side, to be precise) rather than always focusing on colleges, gowns and black ties.

Das wundervolle #Adventure #SimonTheSorcerer erhält dieses Jahr einen neuen Ableger und führt einen wunderbaren #Zeichentrick-Look ein. Der erste #Trailer, des #Prequels zu ersten Teil, kommt zwar noch etwas ruckelig daher, macht aber schon Lust auf mehr.
Angekündigt für alle gängigen Systeme im #März dieses Jahres, könnte nach #Guybrush, auch #Simon das Adventure wieder auf die Tageskarte schreiben.

One thing I dislike about #prequels is how so much tension is sapped out of dangerous situations by knowledge of the fates of the characters involved. Like, I *know* #Spock is going to be fine and keep all his limbs, 'cause of COURSE he does.
One of the things I absolutely love about #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds is how they've taken that inherent problem with foreknowledge of the characters' future and turned it into a compelling and interesting plot line. It's an absolutely genius move!

I'm trying to figure out when "the terrible #StarWars #prequels " became "the beloved Star Wars prequels" in my head, because I'm pretty certain it happened in just the last three years.
I only ever saw Attack of the Clones and the Clone Wars in the theater. I couldn't be bothered for the other two.
Now I almost feel like I have fond "memories" of them, and that's just not accurate.

@SlowRain I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about Leia vs. Padme and about #Solo. What I found interesting in that editing video was the way lines were cut from George's screenplay, both in production and in the edit, which improved the characters. That's why I find the #FanEdits of the #prequels so intriguing; the cinema releases were badly under-edited.

I'm looking for a fan edit that does the same hefty pruning job on the #StarWars #prequels (eps. 1-3). Any recommendations? Criteria: the less #JarJarBinks the better, ideally no digital-only characters at all. No pod race, no midichlorians, no #JakeLloyd (sorry Jake, but ...). More kick-ass #Padme (mainly Ep 2), less wailing and gnashing of teeth Padme (most of 3, except for the bit where she confronts Annakin at the end, and uses her last reserves of strength giving birth to their children).
