Ich bin verwirrt. Wer tut sich denn einen #Telekom #Daten #Prepaid Tarif an (z.b. Data Prepaid M für 10 Euro und 2GB), wenn der normale MagentaMobil Prepaid M für's gleiche Geld 20GB (das 10fache!) hergibt??? (Abgesehen von der aktuellen Sonderaktion, die hier vernachläßigt wird)

Prepaid plans are meant to be the cheat code when it comes to mobile phone service. However more and more they are becoming just another scam. Take Noble Mobile for instance. They claim to “pay” you for not using your phone. They charge a base 50 dollars per month. And if you don’t use all your allotted data you get a discount. At most that discount can be 19 dollars! That means if you didn’t use your phone at all you have the privilege to pay them 31 dollars a month plus tax. Sure they claim to give you some “dividend” but this means you withhold taking any money off your 50 dollar a month bill. And you have to cash it out before you cancel. I find this plan borderline illegal. And a pure rip-off.

For instance I use US Mobile and pay 25 dollars per line for 70 GB of data. If I use all my data (30 Gb more than Noble offers) I still pay 25. I don’t use any data ? I still pay less than Noble. Here is a screenshot using their “savings” calculator.

When you shop for a new phone line please
do research. Just because the plan is lower than any contract plan doesn’t mean it’s really providing the best savings.

@MikeFromLFE @brunogirin @RolloTreadway also, if your regular meds are now in 4-week packs instead of 30-day (because pharma companies are gougers who want to sell 13 month packs each year), you can get four 4-week repeat cycles on a three-month prepay if you are sharp on dates because the NHS still does the right thing even when pharma doesn't. I've never heard anyone official point that out.

In the spirit of things like Donald Trump before him, former presidential candidate Andrew Yang has started his own MVNO, Noble Mobile. Their Schtick is like Google Fi they pay you back for what you don’t use. So you pay their base 50 (plus tax) and you get a credit if you use less than 20 GB of data . The less you use the more you save. Up to 19 bucks a month ! However that discount if you can muster one doesn’t actually automatically apply to your account. No you can either manually apply it or let it build overtime and cash out for a prepaid gift card. They claim it can accumulate interest over time? But every month you still charged the 50 bucks… unless you manually apply your discount before hand. And the discount at most can knock it down to 31 dollars plus tax per line. I pay 25 per line, tax included and can use as much data as I want. Personally I don’t see any benefit to this plan.

I’m seeing these ads all over YouTube, thought I would warn people.
