I have never been at a Premier Inn where there is so much door opening and shutting at 2.30 am ever. Dreadful.

Whilst I'd argue that decent WiFi should be free at every hotel, £5 / 24 hours with no device restrictions and 25 up and down isn't too bad.

As mentioned in a previous toot, I'll normally have the veggie option when we go out for a meal.

But I've always stuck to a traditional full English breakfast - until today.
I had the #vegetarian sausage & bacon options at the Premier Inn this morning (to the shock of my wife!).
The bacon substitute was very acceptable - but looked like mackerel fillet. The sausage was meh : rather dry and lacking in the flavour department.
I'd do it again though.

@oheso @ascentale @bikenite I would take the same approach to leaving a bike overnight in most areas.

There is a chain of hotels in the UK called Premier Inn. They have a bike positive policy which makes them my first choice if available.

Made it to the first stop over on our journey. Hotel setup fine. Ordering food at #PremierInn pub needing gluten-free is...interesting.

They don't have GF symbols on the menu, nor a separate allergy menu. Then they wanted to reel off a list for me to choose from - information overload. Eventually got a list.

Then they seemed to confuse vegan with GF.

Thankfully, I won't explode with a little bit of Gluten.

The #PremierInn free WiFi is so bad it should become the new standard for testing website over slow connections. They /really/ want you to buy the upgrade.

Not only is the #PremierInn hotel chain free wifi near-unusably slow in an attempt to upsell their £5/day "Premium Wifi", it's provided by #VirginMedia so it doesn't even use #IPv6!

1Mbit/sec down, 500kbit/sec up, and legacy IP :/

Arrived at the #PremierInn in Kings Lynn for the first night before I start my #RebellionWay ride. All packed and ready for the off. From tomorrow it’s self-sufficient for however many days it takes me (3 or 4 depending on weather and distance) with a tent.

@Bruce I've had multiple excellent stays with #PremierInn. Broadly speaking they are very good, and broadly cost effective.

But I have feedback, they provide a feedback form, and there's no way to tell them what they've done wrong, and what they've done right. That's frustrating.

I'm sure it's cost effective, but it turns it from a very good experience into something utterly impersonal.

Which is a shame.

Another perfectly satisfactory stay with #PremierInn ruined almost entirely by a brain dead, apparently endless "satisfaction survey" that is so heavily guided you can't actually provide useful feedback.

Just. So. Annoying.

They go to the bother of putting a little card in the room, presumably for people not used to such controls. But then the card does not actually match the controls, which seems to me to make the whole exercise pointless. Yes I can work out the controls, but then I don’t need a little card. Grrr. #PremierInn

Premier Inn: failure to care for disabled guest

Worked hard (four phone calls) to book interconnecting room at Riverlights Derby, so that we could adequately care for our son who was travelling with us (severe learning disability, autism, anxiety). It was my wife's big birthday weekend.

Arrived at hotel: no interconnecting room.

Hotel staff were mortified, but could not do anything to help. Hard to sleep. Very stressful stay.

Guest Relations offered canned apologies (they all say "I do apologise", repeatedly, it grates after a while) and, when pressed, a <10% refund, despite breaching their "good night sleep guarantee".

Conclusion: I don't think we'll ever stay at Premier Inn again. Let down and then insulted.

Breakfast at the Clegg Arms in Heswall with my mum to celebrate Mother’s Day. Didn’t realise my mum had never experienced a #PremierInn breakfast so she was overwhelmed with the choices.

Had a good stay at #cardiffbay #premierinn - it was exactly what you expect from the brand. Also had an unexpectedly good meal at #pizzaexpress in #Mermaidquay - person serving us Anh was excellent with my daughter and extremely helpful, despite them not having many staff on duty. Gave head office some feedback by email and a decent tip!

Had a nice drive around #cwmcarn #forest #drive today. Not been there since I was a teenager - recently reopened and well worth a visit. Some great views up towards #ebbwvale and beyond, and down across the #avonmouth estuary. Chargers the car at a #dragoncharging charger - it wasn’t as quick as I hoped, but not too bad getting back to 80%. Off to #CardiffBay and a night stop at the #premierinn tomorrow

Taking my #disabled #daughter away for the first part of half term. Off to see my parents first for a couple of days, then a night in a #premierinn - also taking my new #ev on it’s first long run - let’s see how this goes!
