2nd to last day of my few days on #prednisone (24, then 20, then 16, etc) and the cursed pain is coming back. I wish regular prednisone didn’t make me intolerably irritable (and prob hurting my organs) bc the relief is so good. My quality of life improves so much. #NEISVoid

today is #methotrexate day and it's very strange to also be on #prednisone (short duration) because I actually have an appetite through the nausea! my body is so confused.

Had my very first psychotic episode today, which was triggered by taking Prednisone since Saturday. Lemme tell you what - that fucking sucks.
I literally thought I was about to die, and I was losing my sense of time and direction. I took a cab to an urgent care this afternoon and had no idea where I was when I got there.
This is more common than one would think with #Prednisone, so be careful.

Neurologist warned me the #Prednisone I have to take to break my 16 migraine attack chain was gonna make me feel 'amped'
So far that's just meant I could grate cheese at 8 pm. So amped.

As a biologist who studied the link between the hormones involved in the #stress response and #behaviour (in #fish for 15 years, it is quite interesting to study myself as I am taking #Prednisone a human-made molecule that acts in the same pathway as cortisol, « the #stresshormone ». My changes in metabolism, behaviour and cognition are already very obvious, but I am not blind to treatment as an observer, and I have a sample size of 1. A taste of my own medicine :)
