I hope it's not too late for my #introduction

I am an associate professor of #Psychology at the #UniversityOfWashington, proud #Immigrant and #FirstGen. I work in #CognitiveScience and #CognitiveNeuroscience and specifically in #PredictiveModels of #Memory and #DecisionMaking and #CognitiveArchitectures: I think they will play an important role in #ComputationalPsychiatry.

Besides being a #science nerd, I love #movies (soft spot for #horror), #nature (we have #horses !) and #bicycling

In our #EdTech context, this can have huge ramifications.

Going back to a #cybersecurity angle, one might also hope that ensuring compliance with Law 25 can help organizations level up in their #MaturityModel for handling data in general, starting with #PersonalInformation about #students and #employees.

Who knows? Maybe people pushing for #PredictiveModels & other top-down approaches to #LearningAnalytics will finally treat #learners as agents of their own fate?

One can only hope.
