Borrowed #PredatorBadlands from the library and I can't help but wonder:
HOW do the Yautja eat with those fangs blocking their mouth?!
The newest creature design doesn't seem to allow the fangs to expand widely.
Maybe there'll be a food scene later in the movie...

The more I see clips from Predator: Badlands, the more I regret not going to the movie theater to see it.
But I'm glad I went to see Tron: Ares despite it not selling well. I loved that movie!

They are hunters with an incomprehensible (to humans) honor code. That's all the characterization they need in the movies. Anything else should just be alien weirdness.
But setting aside personal preference, what they DEFINITELY don't need is one banging on a door screaming "NOOOO!" when his big brother gets killed. Fuck's sake.
All of this is actually beside the point though, because the only TRUE expansion of Yautja lore the world ever needed came to us from the AvP comics (Dark Horse; the original series is the best, but everything from 1989-2020 is readable.)

Been watching Predactor Badlands and fuck me is that fucking great. Brilliant sci fi, and link to Alien with Weyland Yutani up to their old tricks.

I just watched #PredatorBadlands , and I have to say, I really was not expecting it to lean so far into comedy.
It was not my personal cup of tea, but i'm sure many of you will like it. Just be ready for moments of bad CGI, and a swordfight that sounded way too much like a lightsaber fight.
