I had a dream they filmed another season of #Preacher and was dismayed to realize it's not true 😣 though (spoiler for a fake dream) in the new season they brutally killed Tulip, so I'm glad that part wasn't true, at least.

I've been binge-watching #Preacher while I work on my Halloween costume... It's pretty good. Lots of interesting, engaging characters, and a slow trickle of plot build up that keeps you curious (I'm seven episodes in yet they still haven't said why the town hates that one kid??) some parts are really funny too, in a Kingsman/Cabin in the Woods kinda way. I recommend it if you like slightly supernatural, kinda bloody but intriguing action/character growth.

Thomas Gallaudet, Congregationalist minister, founded a school for the deaf. A town known for benevolence will be more exalted than being good at commerce or the arts.

And it would be quite fair that this reputation is what many modern cities take great pains to avoid: being seen as generous to the homeless or refugees? Easily, flatly, opposite of Gallaudet.

How can you support benevolence and good-will towards the unhappy?
