One last photo for #nationalpetday of my first Black-Tailed #prairiedog Binks. He loved to bite, but he was also surprisingly loving sometimes, too. He would nap for hours in the crook of my arm. If he was playing on the floor, and I called for him, he would come running and leap into my arms.
Binks left me 4 years ago, after fighting a staph infection off and on for over two years.

Well fed prairie dogs at the Valles Caldera.
Gunnison's prairie dogs are abundant in the Valles Caldera. They have a complex social structure, with a sophisticated alarm call system, and live in interconnected burrows that have separate areas for sleeping, eating, and waste.

So the #PrairieDog lady came from #AdamsCounty, and she was so helpful! She found the exit hole that the prairie dog had built! And she did not feel like he was down there anymore. She tried to flush him out anyway, and she got nothing. #Boulder
