Another #green morning with A Disciple’s Prayer Book #ADP I’m enjoying the liturgy but finding it a bit odd going back to the #DailyOffice from doing the hours. Today is also a public #Powwow day in town & that feels like a great way to celebrate my change in discipline.

The #Gospel for 27 September 2025 is Matthew 6:19-24 which are a warning against greed & the worship of wealth (2 trespasses I see in abundance around me lately). This morning, however, I’m not in the mood to lecture anyone, including myself, about money, so I was thrilled to find this blog post from onewhoponders http://onewhoponders.blog/2025/09/27/pondering-for-saturday-september-27-2025/ It offers a new take on a familiar set of verses. Too often we treasure wealth for wealth’s sake rather than for the opportunities it presents to help others & build communities. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if Americans even know how to create communities anymore (assuming they ever did). What does a #community that doesn’t worship wealth/money look like in the 21st century?
