Helkutti soikoon, #CachyOS'sin (tai ehkä sen valmiiksi asettaman #Powerlevel10K:n) valmiissa #Zsh-asetuksissa on valmiina *256 aliasta* 😡 Suurin osa niistä turhia, osa haitallisiakin.

Eikä siis vaihto minulle tutumpaan #Zsh:hon oikein auta, koska sekin on valmiiksi äärimmilleen räätälöity käyttämään mm. #Powerlevel10K:ta. Omien, itselle tuttujen asetusten tekeminen vaatii joko korttien huolellista sijoittamista jo valmiiksi huojuvaan korttitaloon tai pöydän siivoamista ja alkamista alusta.

Anyone still using #powerlevel10k #zsh theme?
It has been on "life support" for more than a year.

I had been using it for almost 5 years when I was stunned by instant prompt.
Now I switched to #starship, which I already had an eye on back then.

Do you know a reason not to use starship?
What different common (zsh) themes are there these days?

Decided to customise #LinuxMint on my old #Macbook Air 13", 2012. I only use it very sparingly so never took time to personalise it. I just installed #zsh onto the #gnometerminal and my favourite theme #Powerlevel10k. Time to choose a colour theme! This seems like a good source!

I just pushed the update that switches from using #PowerLevel10k in #ZSH to #OhMyPosh since the former is currently on life support. Will write an article about it soon. It's much better. #FOSS #Linux #OpenSource

So I'm using #powerlevel10k on top of #ohmyzsh on top of #zsh (with plugins) on top of #iTerm2. At this point I have no idea which terminal features come from which software. And if I really need all of these installed

@philsplace @b0rk I’m fancy so I have it in my #Powerlevel10k prompt and #iTerm2 status bar. Should probably omit some items from the former when it detects I'm using the latter.

(The other noise is from the #direnv environment loader and #asdf runtime version manager.)

It took installing #Manjaro #linux for me to discover #Powerlevel10k, but now it's on all my machines.

Bei mir dauert wiederholtes sourcen der .zshrc immer länger - am Schluss war ich bei 120 Sekunden.

Der Profiler der #ZSH sagt, dass die Funktionen "compinit" und "compdump" so lange brauchen. Ich hab aber keine Ahnung, woran das liegt 🤷‍♂️

Jemand eine Idee? Hab übrigens #OhMyZSH und #powerlevel10k installiert.
