So, in addition to covers to stop the arms on my powerchair burning me, I really need a parasol.
Why are all the umbrella/parasols for wheelchairs circular? To get one that clips on the back and extends to cover the joystick it would be wide enough to extend beyond the pavements into the road!
Even one to cover my head and shoulders is too wide.
And the rain canopies are too heavy and would be impossible to take off for boarding taxis/buses/trains.Surely someone has developed a shade thing that is rectangular?

Hey. Help us pay for my new wheelchair? I'm desperately hoping the issues with my current chair are that it's old and battered and possibly needs more in repairs than would be worth it (it's better than NOT having one, don't get me wrong...). But $1,100 (rounded slightly up) is a dear price even if cheaper than we'd ever get anything custom.
We're hoping to pay it off in chunks, since we used a credit card, but. The assurance of *having* the money to pay it off would be awesome - and y'all can say you helped buy my chair! Win/win!
Current goal is at $50/$100
(Unless that's changed literally while I've been typing 🤣)

That's twice in two days. friggin kitchen refit has meant loads of stuff has had to be moved, including where BFF stores her chair when it's not in use. There's basically about 5ft between her chair and mine. Seeing as my body doesn't know what straight means, I'm left trying to go between them and not catch on anything, which fails sometimes. #Blind #PowerChair #Disability #Kitchen #Accessibility

More #shenanigans from yesterday (I was tired and forgot last night, okay, lol): I managed to accidentally lock the arm of my #powerchair upright after flipping it up to pick up something I dropped, and it took us way too long to figure that out lmfao. Shout out to the patient people who were also definitely laughing at us.

Does anyone here own a Pride iGo folding powerchair? I'm thinking of getting the new lightweight model (https://pride-mobility.co.uk/powerchairs/igo-lite/), but it would be good to know how it fares for long term use and maintenance (other than the frame it seems to use all the same components as the rest of the range, so hopefully experiences with the rest of the range should be indicative).
