This brings back memories: #Diablo2

Though I prefer #Diablo 1 and I've already installed #DevilutionX, it's been so long since i've played D2.

And everything is so snappy on #OSX #Leopard with an #SSD so I've spent hours installing stuff in general just as an excuse to play with the machine.

Time to play on this portable mac gaming powerhouse:

#MacPorts is such a great tool and community with archives for atleast some prebuilt packages.

- gcc14 14.3.0_0
- openssh 10.3p1_0
- openssl3 3.6.1_0
- python314 3.14.5_0
- zsh 5.9_3

- Transcend MSA230 128GB mSATA SSD

Opening up this computer takes some commitment. And while I was in there I also lubricated the CPU fan to fix some noise. Then booted the computer from an external #Firewire disk and restored the #Sorbert Leopard image.

And all the #netatalk stuff for transferring my #MacOS9 system folder from the #Pismo to the #PowerBookG4 :) Fine to have a running afp.conf, so it was a job of minutes to migrate it into the vm. And the copying is quite fast over ethernet.

That #Beige G3 Tower became the true starting point of my continuing mac adventure . Around the year 2k and Apple was about to release OS X Server my father insisted I should explore osx. According to him it was like #Linux and #FreeBSD I used at the time.

I got to enjoy #OSX via that Beige G3 and ended up buying my own #PowerbookG4 at the age of 17. Probably the most expensive thing I've ever bought compared to income.
