Just saw Powell + Pressburger’s THE TALES OF HOFFMANN (1951) at Film at Lincoln Center, beautifully restored by the Film Foundation.

“Nutty exuberance and excess in performance and production design that rivals any other movie I can think of,” JANET PLANET director Annie Baker said in her intro.
