  1. Finished #soldering. What I learned so far: l should clean between soldering #SMD components and #throughhole ones. I should leave enough space between the SMD components. I also dislike 0806 #resistors, better get some in 1206 size. The #capacitors were okay.

  6. Planning on creating an #enclosure for my #diysynth #perfboard modules.
    I'll use 5mm transparent #polystyrene for the body, and 2mm #aluminium for the front panel.
    Here is a crude #prototype done in #cardboard.
    I'll have to unsolder the #potentiometers and #LEDs to place them on the panel. The audio jacks will be connected to the pin headers.

  7. Odd... So I ordered some "#Bourns" multiturn precision #potentiometers from an #AliExpress seller, both linear, but two different values.

    They were #cheap, so you expect them to be #fake. Real Bourns stuff isn't cheap.

    But as far as I can tell, the 10kΩ ones are fake, but the 100kΩ ones I received appear to be the #real thing. Now, they could be "3rd shift" or factory floor sweepings... but they're marked #Mexico. Seller is in China.

    Anyone see this before?
