Today's #Postpass quickie: The same address points (same number & street) but too close together. Possible mapping mistakes?

@queerthoughts you can use #postpass ! It's minutely updated and global, but it's in SQL not overpass language!

Also, because we're truly living in the future, this uses Postpass from @geofabrik to pull data each night.
TV ad voice: Overpass troubles have you pulling your hair out? Postpass may be right for you!

@watmildon I'll have to look in Jan when I'm at a computer.
One tip, try add a && geom bbox filtering, in addition to the St_Intersects. Yes I know #postgis is supposed to do it, but IME it can be faster
But I've wanted to add a server side cache for #Postpass for a while. But hasn't been done yet. -
RE: https://en.osm.town/@watmildon/115793587184062200
The Global view for MascotMap can now run against Postpass. It's crazy fast. Still working out why subregion queries are crazy slow. Computers.. amirite?
You can try it yourself!

I am trying to work out how to get MascotMap pulling from Postpass. My current best result is that Postpass takes twice as long as Overpass to return the same data. Hopefully I can nerdsnipe someone into showing me a more efficient query.
Fortunately, I am an absolute noob so it's probably easy to do something better!

Today's work lunch conversation was about duplicate place names. So naturally I looked at #OpenStreetMap to see how common it was (#postpass to the rescue!)
OK this is much more common than I thought. (This is all `place=*` excl `p=locality` & `=isolate_dwelling`)
-

oh boy. with #postpass & #OverpassUltra I can generate heatmaps directly from OSM data.
Here's a heatmap of `place` tag's with this query
```
---
type: postpass
style:
layers:
- type: heatmap
heatmap-radius: 20
heatmap-weight: ["get", "count"]
heatmap-intensity: 0.0001
---select count(*), geom from (
select ST_SnapToGrid(geom, 0.1) as geom from postpass_point where tags?'place' AND geom && ST_MakeEnvelope(-26, 33, 52, 72, 4326)) t group by geom
```
#OpenStreetMap -
Number of Fire Hydrants in #Italy in #OpenStreetMap per million buildings for each `admin_level=4`
made with #postpass

@yetzt A #postpass query to find “vegan” named, w/o `diet:vegan`, and excluding anything in Norway is: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/2gnP
```sql
{{data:sql,server=https://postpass.geofabrik.de/api/0.2/}}
select * from postpass_pointlinepolygon v
where tags?'diet:vegan' AND tags->>'name' ILIKE '%vegan%'and not (ST_Intersects(geom, (select geom from postpass_polygon where tags->>'boundary' = 'administrative' and tags->>'ISO3166-1' = 'NO' AND geom && st_makepoint(7.64,55.44) limit 1)))
``` -
@yetzt A simple #Postpass version of your query is here: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/2gnJ
```sql
{{data:sql,server=https://postpass.geofabrik.de/api/0.2/}}select * from postpass_pointlinepolygon v
where tags?'diet:vegan' AND tags->>'name' ILIKE '%vegan%'
I am still excited that I am able to generate hexagons in #postgresql in the Irish Grid (srs 29903) projection. #Postpass just got more useful for me!
I wondered how many roads, in each county of Ireland, are named?
Then I used #Postpass to tell me how many roads there are in each county (& how many km of roads for each county km²), and how many km of roads are _named_.
I can understand why NI is highly ranked, but WTF is going on in Cavan? Do we have some really good mappers there or something?
So, ich habe gerade mal die #Postpass Datenbank bezüglich des tödlichen Unfalls von Frau #Dahlmeier befragt.
In #Openstreetmap gibt es vier Gipfel mit der Bezeichnung "Laila Peak". Zwei davon sind im Karakorum Gebirge. Ich vermute, der gesuchte Gipfel ist der östlichere der beiden:
