1/n First day back at work after 4 weeks off caring for C with her #postnataldepression. It’s not ‘just’ post natal depression though… she’s been depressed and anxious pretty much all of her life. Her #autism also means that she gets over stimulated very quickly and so can’t cope with the kids when they get boisterous or noisy. And so… she’s woefully ill equipped to cope when baby A starts crying. I expect I’ll have to excuse myself from Teams calls as I hear C bawling at A… #mentalhealth

With a 12 week old baby and a partner who’s suffering terribly with post natal #Depression, I’ve had to massively reduce my expectations about what can be achieved on a daily basis. We’re barely treading water.
