The point of this kind of art is to look at it and let the pareidolia let you see the patterns of nature and science combing.

@Nike_Leonhard @krachstelze Bei #BlackMirror gerade die Episoden krass, die nicht in einer fernen Zukunft, sondern nur ein paar Jahre entfernt oder quasi in einer #alternativeRealität bzw. einem #Paralleluniversum spielen (ähnlich auch bei den letzten beiden Staffeln von #Torchwood).
Gerade diese #SoftScienceFiction / #AnthropologicalScienceFiction / #Cyberpunk / #PostCyberpunk / #Nowpunk Geschichten, die real sein könnte, wenn sich nur eine einzige Sache ändert, sind schon beängstigend

@metaphase @credistick @booksthatgoboom I'd argue Walkaway is #Solarpunk in the first half and #postcyberpunk in the second. Why post-? Because it wants to sketch a fight which is possible to win and a major societal shift, which is impossible within #cyberpunk itself.

@ginevra @dhoe @gus @SolarpunkPrompts I know the Netrunner world and I agree with you, but I think that the narrative is a little more insidious. Cyberpunk paints a world where those little groups cannot win with corporations, cannot create a lasting change and are locked in an eternal "rebellion". If there is a community living against the corporate rules, it needs to be quashed.
Can you imagine a #cyberpunk story in which the communities win and create a better world? That'd be #postcyberpunk

I went watching Dune (2021) at theater, and I won't deny being really impressed: in the of wake Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival, Villeneuve managed to gift the spectator with an immersive cinematic journey into wide-angle framed landscapes of Arrakis. He successfully reinvented Dune, while still keeping as true as possible to the novel and Lynch's movie.
As a side note, I had the chance to get a cool poster for free.

I just remembered Ebocloud, a wonderful book I read a few years ago: a #postcyberpunk / #solarpunk vision of community-oriented transhumanism, a social network created to give people the sense of belonging and create healthy communities.
I can really recommend it.
